I am thrilled to announce that I have been selected to receive a distinguished 2014 Top 100 Minority Business Entrepreneur Award. The Top 100 MBE Awards and ceremony are designed to recognize outstanding women and minority business owners in Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and the District of Columbia.
“The winners of this year’s Top 100 MBE Award exemplify excellence and economic stability,” said Sharon R. Pinder, founder of the Top 100 MBE Awards Ceremony. “Janice Tippett represents the goals and aspirations of many entrepreneurs across this region.”
In order to be eligible for this award, I was first nominated by a colleague within the local community. Nominations for the awards are solicited through the region’s chambers of commerce and professional organizations, along with the business community and general public. After receiving the nomination, I completed an in-depth application about myself and Millennium Marketing Solutions, which was then reviewed and scored by a panel of distinguished judges before I was selected as a winner.
As a woman business owner, I am truly honored to receive this recognition. I, along with my business partner Jody Franklin, always strive to make significant contributions to our clients, the marketing profession, and the local community. I truly believe that women and minority business owners are the future of our economy and have the potential to make a huge impact.
I am greatly anticipating the awards ceremony on October 23rd and look forward to meeting the other honorees. The awards ceremony will take place during Minority Enterprise Development Week in Baltimore, presented by Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake. I hope to see you all there!
