“Big Win for Howard County Tourism Team At the Maryland Tourism & Travel Summit”
On Nov. 14-16, the Maryland Tourism Council and Maryland Office of Tourism hosted the annual Maryland Tourism & Travel Summit (formerly the Governor’s Tourism Industry Conference) at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Resort, Spa & Marina.
This year, Howard County Tourism & Promotion (HCT&P) won three marketing awards. “It was an honor to chair the 2012 Maryland Tourism & Travel Summit,” said Rachelina Bonnaci, executive director of HCT&P. “I’m thrilled that the Howard County Tourism Team ‘hat-tricked’ at the awards banquet, winning three of the eight marketing awards.”
The three awards received included: Best Destination Guide Award for the 2012 Visitor’s Guide (published in partnership with Custom Media Options); Best Web Site Award (created in partnership with Millennium Marketing); and Best Product or Event Award (small budget, less than $5,000) for the Howard County Welcome Center’s “Infotainment” (produced by Ed Lilley and the Welcome Center team).”
