Doors opened at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, September 14 for Millennium’s Annual Marketing Expo and Educational Event. Following the theme of the Millennium School of Marketing, the team prepared to conduct interactive classes presenting the latest marketing tips, tricks, and tools to help businesses grow. Everyone’s energy was up as we began getting everything set up the afternoon prior. Factory representatives came flooding through the doors before the expo started, setting up their displays with cool new apparel and promotional products to showcase.
Our first class was taught by our very own Google Certified Eron Cohen, where the audience got to play a fun game of It’s Academic. They were able to test their knowledge on Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Pay-Per-Click Advertising (PPC), Social Media Marketing, and Content and Email Marketing. Attendees answered questions as Eron showed how these essential marketing practices help businesses grow.
During the classes, attendees were able to walk around and meet Millennium team members, find out more about our 360° approach, visit with factory representatives to learn more about the latest promotional products to hit the scene, view trending trade show displays, play various games, win prizes, and enjoy a delicious catered lunch.
The next class was taught by Janice Tippett and two of our Marketing Consultants, Debra May and Patty Lewis on promotional products and our Promo Box Club. Audience members were able to see how we combine print and packaging to increase the value and impact of promotional products. Our experts educated them on how themed boxes and other unique presentations can build a brand and significantly boost employee morale.
In addition to learning more about what we do and visiting with industry representatives, attendees were also able to get their corporate headshots from Steve Shapiro with Commercial Image Photography. Both him and our Director of Creative Services, Michelle Fazenbaker presented a powerful lecture on professional photography. Audience members learned how there’s more to photography than just simply snapping shots.
While attendees were enjoying their lunches and our social media expert went around taking photos and filming Facebook Live videos, we began getting ready for our last class of the day on web design and three of the most important things every website needs. Audience members took notes and learned more about responsive web design, content management systems (CMS), and analytics.
Before we closed the doors, attendees got to circle around once more and ask any further questions. Not only did they learn more about marketing their businesses as a whole, but we got the opportunity to learn more from each other, further growing our team.
